Project FEES
Travelling abroad with us is a rewarding experience that makes a real impact on animal welfare and provides a chance to learn and travel to beautiful places. We work around the world to bring ongoing and emergency care to animals who would otherwise go without, and you can be part of it.
In order to ensure we can continue providing high-quality support, we ask those who join us to cover certain costs. The fees help us maintain safe and comfortable accommodations, secure local staff employment, stock our clinics with essential medications, and fund our ongoing projects, including disaster response. By contributing, you're not only gaining invaluable experience but also directly supporting the sustainability and success of our work.
Global Rescue
Project fees are the main source of funding for many of our projects, and by joining us, you are supporting not just the project you attend, but also our disaster response work which is how we are able to react faster or more efficiently in times of need.
Medicines
Whilst we are blessed to receive many in-kind donations of vet medicines and supplies, we often need to buy medications and equipment locally. By joining us, you help keep the clinics stocked with lifesaving medications.
Sustainability
We are proud to provide ongoing and sustainable charitable vet care year and animal rescue. No one-pump-chumps here! To do that, we support the employment of local staff, who are your coordinators, hosts and teachers. So by joining us you are ensuring we can be there 24 hours a day for animals in need.
Project Costs
We want to make sure you have an easy travel experience, and a safe and fulling stay, so we ensure only the safest and most trusted partners work with those awesome humans who want to join us. This includes accommodation, transfers and, on most projects, food.
Project Costs:
We aim to keep project costs as low as possible whilst still supporting fair employment in the countries where we work. Some projects include food, but in some instances, where food is easily sourced, it is not included, allowing each traveller to save or splurge as they wish. You can be sure your fee allows us to arrange your airport and project transfers, accommodate you, safely and provide an experienced and locally knowledgeable project coordinator to assist you 24 hours a day, plus your inductions, training and supervision. On top of this, your project fee allows us to hold thorough Employers Liability which includes professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
Global Response
You may have noticed we are ever ready to jump in and help animals when human and natural disasters occur. Part of your fee comes to us as a donation towards our emergency response work, so next time you see us rescuing animals in a war zone, freeing a giraffe from a snare, or reaching into rural communities to provide free care, you can say "I am a part of that".
Promoting
We allocate portion of the fee to marketing. This helps increase awareness, attract more donors, and recruit more volunteers, students and supporters. Effective marketing helps spread our charity’s mission to a wider audience through social media, websites, and advertisements, ensuring that people who want to help can find opportunities to get involved.
